Osteopathy focuses on facilitating the health of joints and muscles through non-invasive manual therapy, helping to strengthen the framework of the body, and acts as a complementary therapy alongside conventional medicine.

Josh Zizek is a Manual Osteopathic Practitioner with a Masters in Practice diploma (M.OMSc) from the Canadian Academy of Osteopathy in Hamilton. With a comprehensive understanding of anatomy, physiology, and body mechanics, he focuses on identifying the root cause of dysfunction and delivering personalised, effective treatment for each patient. Josh has experience working with individuals of all ages and is committed to a collaborative approach that empowers patients to achieve their health goals. Before pursuing osteopathy, Josh completed undergraduate degrees in Business Administration and Health and Wellness at the State University of New York at Oswego, where he also played NCAA hockey for four years, serving as team captain for two. Tommy graduated from the Canadian Academy of Osteopathy (CAO), in a 4 year, 4200 hour program with a required 1000 hours of clinical training. He received his Masters in Practice Diploma in Manual Osteopathic Sciences in 2020 and is a member of Osteopathy Canada (OSTCAN). As a member of OSTCAN, his professional membership is recognized with ALL 3rd party insurance providers. Tommy is also a staff member at the Canadian Academy of Osteopathy, where he oversees practical classroom labs as well as the year 4 student clinic.

Having played competitive sports throughout his life, Tommy knew he wanted a career that revolved around working with and helping the human body. Prior to completing his education at the Canadian Academy of Osteopathy, Michael graduated from the University of Waterloo while completing a direct study in biomechanics and osteoarthritis in the Kinesiology department. Michael continued to implement his knowledge in the acquired brain injury and biomechanical assessment fields while working towards his Master’s of Practice in Osteopathy, which he obtained in 2019. Michael was lead to Osteopathy with his interest in physiology and mechanics of the human body. The understanding that the two are functionaries of one another provides a patient with the ability to self heal and self regulate, and supports the fact that each individual requires unique treatment.
